Job Description

Position Summary:
Ada's Kitchen is a student-run food concept located in the Poling/Walker Lounge. Student Workers support daily operations, customer service, mobile service shifts in the MAC, and overall hospitality for campus guests. This role provides hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, food service operations, marketing, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve grab-and-go food and beverage items according to Ada's standards
  • Provide friendly, efficient customer service to students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors
  • Handle cash/Point-of-Sale transactions accurately and responsibly
  • Assist with mobile service operations in the MAC as scheduled
  • Maintain cleanliness of workspace, equipment, and service areas
  • Restock inventory and communicate low-stock needs to manager
  • Support special events, promotional days, or pop-up service as needed
  • Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with other student employees to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications:
  • Must be a current Spring Arbor University student in good academic standing
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work assigned shifts independently
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous food service experience helpful but not required (training provided) Learning Outcomes /
