Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling role supporting the well-being and growth of middle school students for the 2025-2026 academic year! This contract opportunity offers the chance to work alongside a dedicated full-time school social worker, providing mentorship and collaboration, making it a great fit for both experienced professionals and those newer to the field. Work three days per week (0.6 Full-Time Equivalent) with the flexibility to set your own consistent weekly schedule. You'll be welcomed into a positive environment, focusing on students who primarily have traditional middle school needs, although some individuals exhibit more challenging behaviors and would benefit from your guidance and support. The hours are 7:40 am to 2:40 pm, allowing for work-life balance while making a meaningful difference.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Holds a valid 310 School Social Worker approval or a preliminary approval to serve as a School Social Worker (SSW) Previous experience in a school setting preferred, especially with middle school populations Confidence working with students who display a range of behavioral and emotional needs Strong skills in communication, empathy, and collaboration Ability to build trust and rapport with both students and staff
Responsibilities & Duties:
