Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a School Social Worker in a supportive and collaborative educational environment. This full-time, full school year contract role presents the opportunity to work closely with students, families, and staff to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs, helping create an inclusive and thriving school community.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program Current licensure appropriate for school-based social work Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings Strong crisis intervention, mediation, and counseling skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Commitment to cultural competence and equity in student support Ability to design and facilitate small group or individual interventions
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify barriers to learning and connect students with needed resources Provide direct counseling and behavioral support to students individually and in groups Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to develop intervention plans and promote positive school climate Engage actively with families, offering guidance and connecting them with external supports Participate in evaluation meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes as needed Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of services provided Assist in crisis response and management, supporting the wellbeing of students and staff
