This full-time, contract position supports students academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development through collaboration with educators, parents, and community partners.
Responsibilities include:
Providing individualized and group counseling to support students social and emotional growth Assessing student needs and developing action plans tailored to unique strengths and challenges Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and community agencies for coordinated support Participating in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and intervention planning Assisting students facing behavioral, emotional, attendance, or family-related barriers Linking families with helpful community resources and services Responding effectively to crisis situations and addressing student safety concerns Maintaining thorough and confidential documentation Fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and positive environment in the school community Engaging in multidisciplinary teams for prevention and problem-solving initiatives To be considered for this position, youll need: A Masters degree in Social Work (MSW), or as required for Minnesota school social work licensure A valid Minnesota Department of Education school social worker license Experience working with children or adolescents is preferred Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills Understanding of trauma-informed practices, social-emotional learning, and behavioral interventions A strong commitment to equity, student wellbeing, and family partnership Youll find a student-centered, collaborative environment focused on making a difference.
