This contract opportunity, set in a vibrant elementary school near Minneapolis, MN, runs from 8/31/26 to 12/22/26, with a consistent schedule Wednesday through Friday. Your expertise will provide vital support to children as they navigate academic and social growth.
Qualifications & Desired Background:
Active social work licensure, with credentials suitable for work in both educational and healthcare settings Professional experience as a social worker in schools or pediatric environments strongly preferred Solid understanding of child development, crisis intervention, and behavioral strategies Compassionate communicator who excels at building trust with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams Adept at documentation, maintaining confidentiality, and following school protocols
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct support and counseling services to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and external agencies to develop student success plans Conduct assessments, participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, and contribute to IEP/504 processes Advocate for students' diverse needs through tailored interventions and resource referrals Facilitate small groups or class sessions on social skills, conflict resolution, or mental health awareness This is your opportunity to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where young learners can thrive.
