Key Qualifications:
Master's in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program Valid (or eligibility for) School Social Work licensure Experience supporting IEPs and working with students receiving special education services Ability to provide group and individual counseling for social, behavioral, and emotional needs Strong communication skills for working with parents, staff, and administration Tech-savvy and comfortable delivering virtual services, if needed
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted IEP services to students in grades 3-10—approximately 5-6 hours per week Conduct assessments and create interventions tailored to students' individual needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to formulate and implement student plans Act as a liaison for students, families, teachers, and service providers Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state requirements Support crisis intervention, advocacy, and preventative programming as appropriate This adaptable assignment allows you to provide expertise in a way that fits your lifestyle—whether you prefer virtual engagement or are able to serve on-site near Minneapolis.
