Make a difference every day supporting students as a School Social Worker, Special Education, in a vibrant school community near scenic Saint Paul and Rosemount, MN. This long-term contract opportunity runs from the 2026-2027 school year and follows the regular school calendar, with hours from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Use your skills to help students reach their fullest potential and support positive outcomes for children with special education needs.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program Valid MN School Social Worker license or eligibility for licensure Prior experience supporting students within a school setting preferred Familiarity with special education processes, laws, and best practices Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families Ability to provide crisis intervention and facilitate referrals to outside agencies

Daily Responsibilities:

Deliver social-emotional and behavioral support to students receiving special education services Develop and implement Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals related to social work services Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, support staff, and administrators Provide consultation and coaching to staff on behavioral and mental health concerns Conduct assessments and collect data for determining student needs and progress Engage in family outreach to foster partnerships and support student success
