About Us Minnesota Valley Action Council (MVAC) is a nonprofit community action agency serving south-central Minnesota since 1965.   • Collaboration strengthens outcomes Position Overview Aides assist with classroom operations including the planning and implementation of activities, maintaining the classroom environment, meal preparations and supervision of children.
Where offered, assist children on and off the bus, maintaining orderly conduct while bus is in transit. Must abide by Head Start Performance Standards to support the child's development and school readiness. Work as a team member to support child and family needs and to develop child educational and family goals. Develop and maintain professional working relationships with families, partners, co-workers and supervisors
ESSENTIAL FUNCITIONS OF THE JOB
As directed by the Teacher, assist with the daily classroom learning environment and implementation of the curriculum. Provide food service and transportation services (if provided) to children. Abide by MVAC Policies, Head Start Performance Standards, and Department of Children Youth and Families Childcare Center Statutes and Rules. Prefer degree in Early Childhood or Center Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills beneficial. Bilingual skills are beneficial
