Hope House, Inc., a non-profit domestic violence service agency, is currently seeking a clinical/behavioral health professional to provide clinical counseling and care to adult or child survivors of domestic violence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions) Collaborate with clients to develop personalized safety plans that address immediate risk. Administer initial mental health assessments for clients entering services, including assessing the psychological, emotional, and behavioral impacts of domestic violence. Develop client-centered individualized treatment plans, and monitor and evaluate progress toward treatment goals. Provide regular individual therapy, including managing a caseload of approximately 20 clients. Use evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as trauma-informed, CBT, and DBT. Offer immediate support and intervention in crisis situations and coordinate with emergency services when necessary. Provide clinical case support as needed. Facilitate support or psycho-educational groups. Maintain clinical files and documentation according to legal and ethical guidelines, quality assurance standards, and grant reporting/auditing requirements. Adhere to professional code of ethics and maintain licensure in accordance with state and federal regulations. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field from an accredited institution; and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Missouri. Provisional licenses will be considered if actively pursuing full licensure and under appropriate supervision. Free clinical supervision may be provided by Hope House.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish Previous experience working with survivors of domestic violence Certifications in trauma-informed therapeutic modalities (e.g., EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position works on-site at our Independence campus. Therapists frequently interact with individuals experiencing trauma, crisis, or emotional distress.
