Job Description

Summary:
The SEL Interventionist will work directly with the Director of SEL Interventionists program in affecting positive social, emotional, and behavioral changes in members, supporting and coaching staff to improve overall behavior proficiency, providing supportive interventions to families, and working with the Site Coordinator to develop and maintain a continuum for members, staff, and families.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Work with members to implement interventions and strategies to promote positive social, emotional, and behavioral changes in members. ? Provide coaching to staff to support the implementation and fidelity of effective behavioral support and interventions. ? Assist in developing interventions, behavioral strategies for the purpose of providing a safe and effective environment for members. ? Conduct periodic workshops, training, and in-service for classroom management techniques and other topics for the purpose of developing effective classroom management to support members. ? Engage in professional development to increase knowledge and skills of positive student behavior and emotional support for all members.
Education and Experience:
? Bachelor's Degree or higher in education, counseling, social work, psychology, sociology or a related field. ? At least three years of successful experience working with students, including those with behavioral issues or considered at-risk for academic success. ? Demonstrate knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and techniques.
Salary:
Part-time position to work 2 hours a day between the hours of 3:00-600 pm. following the Jefferson City School District school year. Rate of pay between $18-22 an hour based on experience.
