A Family, School, or General Social Worker provides specialized assistance to vulnerable families and children. Intervenes in crisis situations; evaluates individual and family needs, helps clients get access to health care, mental health care or social services such as housing assistance. Advocates for clients and provides follow up visits. May work with teachers, parents and school administrators to help students improve academically and deal with social issues such as bullying.

Job Description

General Description:
This position empowers older adults to remain independent by assessing their needs, connecting them with community resources, conducting eligibility screenings, and providing options counseling, case management, and transition services. Your work will help older adults navigate complex systems, make informed decisions, and access the support they need to thrive and age in place.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field At least one year of experience in human services delivery and case management AIRS Certification within first year of employment Computer proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing & database applications Knowledge of community resources, social agency programs & services Understanding of professional social work ethics and practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Local travel required, must have a valid driver's license, dependable transportation and automobile insurance as required by the State of Missouri Supports a welcoming, collaborative, and respectful environment in words and actions that encourages inclusion and representation for all community members, clients, and fellow employees
