Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary The Extended Care Aide supports the supervision and care of students enrolled in the before- and/or after-school extended care program at a Catholic school. The aide helps create a safe, welcoming, and faith-aligned environment where students can play, study, and build positive relationships in keeping with the values and mission of Catholic education.

Job Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students in the extended care program during designated hours (before school, after school, or both). Engage students in age-appropriate games, crafts, physical activity, and other enrichment or quiet-time activities. Assist students with homework or reading as needed. Provide consistent and respectful behavior management aligned with school and Catholic values. Serve snacks and assist with cleanup and basic hygiene when appropriate. Ensure students are signed in/out by authorized adults and maintain accurate attendance records. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in classrooms, playgrounds, and common areas. Communicate any incidents, concerns, or behavior issues to the Extended Care Coordinator or school administration. Job Requirements Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting preferred. Practicing Catholic preferred; non-Catholics must respect the Catholic identity of the school. Ability to supervise children in both indoor and outdoor settings. Reliable, responsible, patient, and nurturing demeanor.
