Full Time About Us Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation (OACAC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing poverty and strengthening communities by providing services and support to individuals and families throughout the Ozarks. OACAC Head Start provides comprehensive early childhood education, health, and family support services to children ages birth through five and their families, preparing children for success in school and life. Position Overview OACAC Head Start is seeking motivated team members for the position of Family Advocate. This role serves as a key connection between families, staff, community resources, and support services. The Family Advocate provides family support using a case management approach while assisting with recruitment, enrollment, and family engagement activities. Successful candidates will be relationship-focused professionals who are committed to supporting children and families. Work Schedule Full-Time / Full-Year Part-Time During Summer Months Schedule may vary based on program needs Key Responsibilities Provide support services to children and families using a case management approach Serve as a liaison between families, staff, community resources, and service providers Assist with recruitment, enrollment, and registration of children and families Build and maintain positive relationships with children and families Support family engagement and goal-setting activities Maintain accurate documentation and confidential records Collaborate with center staff to support program goals and family success Perform additional duties as assigned Position Begins at one assigned location for a designated period, then floats between multiple locations as needed. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Willingness to attain a required credential within 18 months of hire or certification in Social Services or a related field Minimum of 21 years of age Reliable transportation Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Degree in Social Work or a related field Copy of transcript required with application Case management experience Required Skills and Abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build positive relationships with children and families Ability to maintain confidentiality Strong organizational and documentation skills Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and community partners Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities Flexibility and willingness to work in multiple centers Compensation Salary range: $16.57 - $19.65 per hour
