What You Will Do As the Family & Community Resource Coordinator, you will help strengthen family well-being, economic stability, and parent engagement by connecting families with valuable resources and opportunities. You will collaborate with families, FCR staff, and community partners to support food access, workforce development, education and training, and meaningful engagement among fathers and male caregivers. In this role, you will: Develop and maintain information about community resources related to food, housing, transportation, employment, education and training, financial stability, healthcare, and other identified family needs. Connect families with appropriate resources and provide follow-up support when needed. Coordinate food distributions, resource fairs, community drives, workshops, and other family and community engagement activities. Develop activities that encourage fathers and male caregivers to participate in program and community opportunities while strengthening parent-child relationships. Assist the Workforce Development Coordinator with workforce initiatives. Help parents and caregivers prepare for employment through résumé development, job-search assistance, employment applications, and connections to education, training, credentialing, and career opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with community organizations while identifying new resources and partnerships that respond to family and program needs. Collaborate with family engagement staff to ensure referrals and services support each family's goals and avoid unnecessary duplication of services. Maintain accurate and confidential records of activities, participation, referrals, resources, and community partnerships. Perform other related duties that support the goals and activities of the Community Engagement Department. You should have:

Strong communication, organization, relationship-building, and customer-service skills. The ability to collaborate effectively with families, staff, community organizations, and other partners. The ability to coordinate multiple activities and responsibilities. Sound judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of community resources, referral systems, workforce development, employment readiness, or family support services. The ability to represent FCR professionally within the community. Local travel and occasional participation in evening or weekend family and community events may be required. Education and Experience A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Human Services, Family Studies, Community Development, Sociology, Psychology, a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least three years of progressively responsible experience working with children and families experiencing economic hardship or other barriers to well-being, stability, and opportunity. Five years of experience is preferred. Experience in family and community engagement, resource navigation, community outreach, workforce development, social services, or related family support services is required. Experience working in Head Start, Early Head Start, early childhood education, or a community-based human services organization is preferred. Experience with employment readiness, résumé assistance, male and father engagement, community partnerships, or food and basic-needs initiatives is highly desirable.
