Job Description

Early Childhood Interventionist Henderson, NC $30 an hour - Full-time $30 an hour - Full-time •This is an independent contractor (1099) position. Job Overview The Early Childhood Interventionist (CBRS Provider) delivers developmental, play‑based early intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth-3) with developmental delays or established conditions. This role focuses on strengthening developmental skills through family‑centered coaching, routines‑based intervention, and collaboration with the CDSA and multidisciplinary team members. Services are provided in the child's natural environment, such as the home, childcare setting, or community locations. Responsibilities Provide developmental, play‑based CBRS sessions aligned with the child's IFSP goals Coach caregivers on strategies that support the child's development within daily routines Embed intervention into natural environments (home, childcare, community settings) Conduct developmental observations and contribute to functional assessments Collaborate with CDSA service coordinators, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members Develop individualized intervention strategies that support cognitive, communication, social‑emotional, motor, and adaptive skill development Maintain accurate, timely documentation that meets NC ITP and Medicaid standards Communicate regularly with families to support progress, address concerns, and reinforce strategies Participate in team meetings, trainings, and quality assurance activities Follow all agency, CDSA, and Infant‑Toddler Program policies and procedures Uphold family‑centered practices, cultural sensitivity, and ethical standards Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field Meets North Carolina CBRS provider qualifications (including supervised experience if degree is not in a human‑services field) Knowledge of infant/toddler development and developmental delays Experience working with young children and families in educational or developmental settings Strong communication, coaching, and relationship‑building skills Ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and maintain compliance‑ready documentation Reliable transportation for travel to homes, childcare centers, and community locations Ability to pass background checks and meet all state and agency credentialing requirements •Reliable transportation is required. •This position serves Vance, Warren, Franklin, and Granville counties. Candidate must reside in one of these counties.
Pay:
$30.00 per hour
