Job Description

The Hawbridge School

Position Overview

The MTSS/Title I Coordinator supports The Hawbridge School's efforts to ensure students receive the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support needed to be successful. This position coordinates the school's Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) and Title I programs, working closely with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff across grades K-12.

Key Responsibilities

  • MTSS Coordination
  • Coordinate and support implementation of the school's
K-12 MTSS

framework.

  • Facilitate regular MTSS meetings and help teams identify students needing additional support.
  • Assist teachers with selecting and implementing appropriate interventions.
  • Monitor student progress and help teams use data to determine next steps.
  • Maintain organized MTSS documentation, intervention plans, and progress-monitoring records.
  • Support consistent Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 practices across the school.
  • Help strengthen communication between teachers, families, administrators, and student support staff.
    Title I Coordination
  • Coordinate implementation of the school's Title I program and annual requirements.
  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Title I plan and goals.
  • Maintain required Title I documentation and assist with compliance, reporting, and monitoring.
  • Coordinate Title I parent and family engagement activities and required communications.
  • Work with school leadership to ensure Title I funds, programs, and resources are aligned with identified student needs.
  • Assist with collecting and reviewing data used to evaluate the effectiveness of Title I services.
    Instructional & Student Support
  • Collaborate with teachers to identify strategies and resources for students needing additional academic or behavioral support.
  • Help staff analyze assessment, attendance, behavior, and intervention data.
  • Provide or coordinate professional learning related to MTSS, interventions, progress monitoring, and Title I requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with Exceptional Children, Section 504, counseling, testing, and administrative teams to ensure student supports are coordinated appropriately.
    Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; education-related degree preferred.
  • NC teaching license or relevant educational experience preferred.
  • Experience with MTSS, student interventions, data analysis, Title I, or instructional support preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage documentation and timelines while maintaining a student-centered approach.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and comfortable working with both students and adults. They understand that MTSS is not simply a referral process—it is a schoolwide approach to identifying student needs early, providing effective support, and using data to determine what works.
