Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' social, emotional, and physical needs to inform tailored care plans. Provide crisis intervention and crisis management support during urgent or high-risk situations. Facilitate access to community resources such as Section 8 housing, Medicare services, workforce development programs, and childcare assistance. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavioral changes and foster client engagement. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including healthcare providers, child welfare agencies, addiction counselors, and housing authorities to coordinate comprehensive support. Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns to promote best practices in social work and client advocacy. Maintain detailed case records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with organizational policies and confidentiality standards. Skills Strong expertise in crisis intervention and crisis management strategies to effectively de-escalate high-stakes situations. Proficiency in addiction counseling techniques and behavioral health interventions. Extensive knowledge of social work principles combined with experience in child welfare and section 8 housing programs. Skilled in motivational interviewing to motivate clients toward positive outcomes. Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to mentor team members or interns successfully. Familiarity with Medicare regulations and workforce development initiatives to support diverse client needs. Excellent communication skills for engaging clients from varied backgrounds including those requiring childcare or mentoring services.
