Aug 10, 2026 Job Description 21st Century After School Program Coordinator Haverhill Cooperative Middle School North Haverhill, New Hampshire Haverhill Cooperative Middle School, a vibrant middle school serving approximately 175 students in grades 5-8 on a beautiful campus in North Haverhill, New Hampshire, is seeking an energetic, organized, and student-centered 21st Century After School Program Coordinator to lead our growing after-school enrichment program. The successful candidate will believe in the power of strong relationships, engaging learning experiences, and providing students with meaningful opportunities beyond the traditional school day. This individual will work collaboratively with students, families, staff, and community partners to create a dynamic after-school program that supports academic growth, social-emotional development, enrichment, and student engagement.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Coordinating all aspects of the 21st Century After School Program.
  • Recruiting, supervising, and supporting after-school program staff and instructors.
  • Developing engaging enrichment opportunities aligned with student interests and needs.
  • Building partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and community members.
  • Managing program schedules, attendance, communication, and reporting requirements.
  • Monitoring program effectiveness and utilizing data to improve student outcomes.
  • Communicating regularly with families regarding programming and student participation.
  • Ensuring a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Managing the program budget and ensuring responsible stewardship of grant funds.
  • Completing and submitting all required state and federal grant reports, documentation, and compliance paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with all 21st Century Community Learning Center grant requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working with middle school-aged students.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, staff, and community partners.
  • Experience coordinating programs, events, or educational initiatives.
  • Knowledge of youth development, enrichment programming, and student engagement strategies.
  • Experience managing budgets and grant-funded programs is preferred.
  • Experience with data collection, reporting, and compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in education, youth development, social work, recreation, or a related field preferred.
