They will take the lead in researching and developing sustainable programs aimed at addressing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) for trauma survivors. Additionally, the Child Advocate will participate in Child Advocacy Center (CAC) interviews and offer follow-up services to families, ensuring comprehensive support throughout the recovery process.

The Child Advocate will provide guidance, support, and resources to help navigate complex systems while promoting the well-being and safety of families and children. Duties Act as a liaison between children, families, and various agencies, including child protective services and legal entities. Collaborate and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of personnel and agencies to support the child and family. Offer emotional support, assistance, advocacy, referral information, and follow-up. Provide crisis intervention support and identify the needs and concerns of children and families. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower families in decision-making processes. Advocate for children's rights within the family law system and other relevant contexts. Maintain accurate records of interactions, assessments, and progress notes while ensuring confidentiality. Development and facilitation of support groups. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance advocacy skills. Skills Strong conflict management abilities to address disputes effectively. Knowledge of childcare practices and child welfare principles. Experience in social work or related fields is highly desirable. Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques to assist families during challenging situations. Understanding of behavioral health issues affecting children. Previous experience working with children in various capacities is beneficial. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate the needs of children clearly. The Child Advocate position is an impactful role that requires dedication, compassion, and a commitment to improving the lives of children. Candidates should be prepared to engage actively with families while navigating complex systems on behalf of those they serve.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Relevant employment experience and a college degree or coursework are essential. Must live within 30 minutes of Manchester NH Participation in on-call rotation
