Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make an immediate impact in the lives of students by providing essential mental health support and advocacy as a Behavioral Health Specialist and Social Worker in an educational setting near Milan, NH. Your expertise will foster a nurturing environment that enables students to thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work (or a related field) Prior experience working as a School Social Worker Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), School Psychologist, M-LADAC, LCMHC, or credentialed School Counselor with substantial counseling experience Strong understanding of behavioral health needs in school-aged children Outstanding communication, empathy, and crisis intervention skills
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct counseling and behavioral support services to students, both individually and in groups Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective intervention strategies Assist students struggling with behavioral, emotional, or social challenges, linking them to resources and community services as needed Lead or participate in the creation of student support plans, IEP meetings, and regular team consultations Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with school policies and legal requirements Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students Educate staff and families on behavioral health topics, and promote school-wide mental health initiatives This contract role is an opportunity to make a lasting difference where it matters most—supporting the mental health and success of students.
