$49,000 - $100,386
QUALIFICATIONS:
NH certification as a Social Worker or eligibility with a (MSW) Masters in Social Work. Demonstrates knowledge, competence and interest in serving culturally disadvantaged families. Demonstrates organizational, human relations, and oral and written communication skills.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Worker counsels students to improve social, medical, emotional, physiological needs. Counsels students in personal, confidential, face-to-face situations to understand themselves better, to make appropriate choices and decisions and to resolve conflicts. Provides crises counseling for students (individually or in groups) Interacts with parents/guardians, families and other relatives to facilitate the meeting of students' educational and/or socio-emotional needs and provides mental health and medical outreach for students and their families. Creates a plan for intervention for students with staff or outside parties, in an attempt to have students engage in the learning process. This position works with the other school staff to develop appropriate in-school support for all students in the building. Assists with support plans as needed .Documents evidence to support court petitions; testifies in court and prepares court documentation as needed on a case by case basis.
