Job Description

Embark on a rewarding short-term contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a school social worker near Plaistow, NH. This part-time assignment spans from late August to early December 2026, covering a maternity leave. The role offers a meaningful way to make an impact in a caring educational environment, providing dedicated support to students in an ED program with a notably small caseload—currently just three children. In this position, you'll work part time, two to three days each week, during regular school hours of 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM. Leverage your skills to provide counseling, crisis support, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring students' social-emotional growth and well-being.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) required Valid certification as a school social worker Prior experience in educational or school-based settings, especially with emotional and behavioral disorders (ED), strongly preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct social-emotional and behavioral support services to students in the ED program Coordinate resources and interventions with teachers and families Conduct individual and group counseling sessions Develop and implement strategies for social, emotional, and behavioral development Collaborate with educational teams for thorough, student-centered planning Maintain accurate and confidential documentation
