Social Services Coordinator/Transportation Coordinator Bayonne Economic Opportunity Foundation (BEOF) operates the Bayonne Head Start program, providing comprehensive early childhood education and family support services to promote school readiness for children from low-income families in our community

DESCRIPTION

: The Dual position in corporates family worker responsibilities as well as bus aide responsibilities. The Family worker works with enrolled families of children 3-5 years old to deliver services to support family well-being, child learning and development, and foster parental confidence and skills that promote the early learning and development of their children. This is accomplished through individualized family partnerships that take into account family strengths, needs, and goals, along with any existing plans made with other community agencies. The Family Worker works directly with families. The Bus Aide supports the safe transportation of students by assisting the bus driver in maintaining a safe, orderly, and positive environment during transportation to and from school and school-related activities. The Bus Aide assists students during loading and unloading, supports student supervision, and helps ensure compliance with school transportation policies and safety procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

Must show a negative TB Test and obtain a health provider statement showing free of communicable diseases Must receive clearance from Background, Child Abuse, and Sex Offenders checks Must be able to speak clearly and fully comprehend written and spoken English. Spanish speaking or Arabic language a plus

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

High school diploma or equivalent with one year experience working in a pre-school setting Experience working as a bus aide Current credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field a plus SALARY - $33,000.00
