A Family, School, or General Social Worker provides specialized assistance to vulnerable families and children. Intervenes in crisis situations; evaluates individual and family needs, helps clients get access to health care, mental health care or social services such as housing assistance. Advocates for clients and provides follow up visits. May work with teachers, parents and school administrators to help students improve academically and deal with social issues such as bullying.

Company Overview The Bright Side Family (Geriatric Services, Inc.) is dedicated to providing affordable housing and comprehensive support services tailored to meet the evolving needs of older adults. Our mission emphasizes promoting dignity, safety, and comfort through innovative programs that foster community engagement and well-being. Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Community Programs Manager to oversee our community-based programs. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
  • Impact measurement and reporting
  • Community outreach
  • Collaborating with other aging services providers to arrange for educational programs and services in the community
  • Recruiting, screening and training volunteers to provide money management services
  • Supervising social workers and social work interns The Community Services Manager is part of a professional team within a well established nonprofit organization with opportunity for advancement.
Supervisory experience required. Familiarity with Bergen County's aging services network and a Master's in Social work are preferred.
Pay:
$75,000.00
  • $90,000.
