Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Take on a rewarding, impactful contract role as a School Social Worker serving elementary students in a supportive educational environment just outside Estancia, NM. This full-time position runs from now through May 28th, 2027, offering 35 hours per week with a dedicated schedule and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children. As part of your day-to-day, you'll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, provide individual counseling, conduct group support sessions, attend IEP meetings, and intervene in crisis situations. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering positive outcomes for students and strengthening their support systems.
Applicants should bring:
Active Master Social Worker license Valid PED certification as a School Social Worker in New Mexico Previous experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting—preferred Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to assess student needs and deliver effective intervention strategies Key responsibilities include: Providing individual and group counseling for elementary students Assisting in the development and implementation of IEPs Supporting crisis intervention efforts and collaborating with school personnel Serving as a liaison between families, school staff, and community resources Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to ethical standards Compensation for this role ranges from $37 to $43 per hour, reflecting your expertise and commitment.
