Job Description

Los Alamos JJAB is seeking a dedicated and relationship-driven Resource Specialist to support youth and families in our community. Our mission is to surround youth with the support they need to feel connected, valued, and empowered to thrive in school and in life. Resource Specialists play a critical role as the connective tissue between youth, families, and the wide range of services available in our community. Through strong relationships and knowledge of local and regional resources, they help youth and families navigate complex systems and access the support they need to succeed. This position provides case management and community resource services to middle and/or high school youth and their families. The position may work with younger children and their families, depending on the organization's needs. The position will case-manage 50-60 youth throughout the year, identify at-risk youth and families, administer assessments, provide referrals to appropriate services, develop coordinated service plans, provide follow-up, and engage in community outreach and program development. Position is full-time, with a flexible schedule that includes the option to work some hours from home.
Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field, or equivalent professional experience Licensure as a Baccalaureate or Master's level Social Worker preferred Bilingual English/Spanish preferred 2 - 3 years of knowledge and experience in case management, social work, or a related field Demonstrated ability to work with youth and their families, providing excellent interpersonal skills Experience working with vulnerable/underserved populations Ability to collaborate with school staff, providers, and other professionals Previous experience working within a school system is preferred Strong organizational, record-keeping, and communication skills Proficient skills in Microsoft Office programs Ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality Competitive salary based on education and experience. Possible evening and weekend hours, flexible scheduling. Multiple background checks are required. Physical requirements include working in an office/community environment, regular local travel with reliable transportation.
