This role emphasizes engaging with grade-level groups and small cohorts, providing targeted lessons informed by student data, and offering essential crisis intervention services. You'll be making a real difference daily by helping children develop healthy coping skills and thrive academically and socially. Collaboration with educators and support staff is key, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
Your qualifications and experience include:
Current LMSW credential, with the chance to receive supervision towards LCSW Experience in a school or youth-centered setting is highly valued Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff Skilled in crisis intervention, individual counseling, and group facilitation Willingness to work onsite at Moriarty Elementary School Readiness to start as soon as possible and commit through May 28th, 2027 Your primary responsibilities will involve: Proactively supporting groups or grade levels with counseling and lessons based on assessed needs Facilitating both individual and group counseling sessions Providing crisis intervention as needed, ensuring student safety and care Collaborating with teachers and staff to support holistic student well-being Maintaining records and supporting a positive school climate This full-time, 35-hour per week contract role welcomes licensed professionals eager to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant educational community.
