Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Take your social work expertise to the heart of an elementary school community in a contract role supporting the well-being and success of students. This full-time position, scheduled for 35 hours per week from now through May 28th, 2027, puts you at the forefront of student support, providing individual and group counseling, attending IEP meetings, and assisting with crisis intervention.
What You'll Do:
Deliver targeted support to elementary school students through group sessions and one-on-one counseling Attend and participate in IEP meetings, ensuring students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs are represented Provide crisis intervention and contribute to safety and well-being initiatives within the school Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop effective intervention strategies Maintain thorough documentation and contribute meaningfully to a positive school environment
What We're Looking For:
Licensed as a Master Social Worker (LMSW) Possess current PED certification as a School Social Worker in New Mexico Experience working within schools—elementary experience is highly valued Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach A commitment to supporting diverse student populations and responding to a range of social-emotional needs This opportunity offers hourly compensation between $37 and $43, based on experience and credentials.
