Job Description
Immigrant Services Manager 39 Bath Street, Ballston Spa, NY 12020 $63,000 a year - Full-time $63,000 a year - Full-time The Immigrant Services Manager leads and manages programs that support immigrants of varying cultural backgrounds and legal status in achieving stability, integration, and long-term success in Saratoga, Washington, and Warren Counties. This role supports clients in addressing both immediate and long-term needs through individualized assessments, service planning, and ongoing support. This role is pivotal in ensuring that immigrants receive high-quality, culturally responsive, and trauma informed support as they navigate their new communities. The ideal candidate is an empathetic leader, a strategic program builder, and a dedicated advocate with a deep understanding of the systemic challenges faced by immigrant populations.
Job Duties:
- Develop and oversee case management that is culturally competent and trauma informed.
- Oversee client intake, assessment, and service plans.
- Work closely with staff to ensure clients across all immigrant services programs are aware of direct services available (e.g. ESOL and Immigration Legal clients).
- Provide supervision and guidance to Immigrant Services Specialist on complex cases, ensuring adherence to social work ethical standards. Train team on trauma-informed best practices.
- Build and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, legal service providers, schools, and government agencies.
- Collaborate with Immigrant Resource Coordinator (IRC) to develop workshops that are culturally tailored and relevant to immigrant community. Together with IRC improve community resources based on cases, data, and community feedback.
- In collaboration with the Director of Immigrant Services ensure that all case management/direct services targets and requirements regarding the provision of services, income and data management (Captain Social Services Software) are properly conducted, recorded, and reported in compliance with the standards set forth by each grantor.
- Master's degree in social work preferred; supervised practicum or internship preferred. Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, related fields with significant relevant professional experience will be considered. Course work related to cultural diversity, Latin American/Latino studies a plus.
- Must be fluent in Spanish and English, including the ability to write, read and speak in both languages. Additional language proficiency a plus.
- A minimum of three years supervisory/ administrative experience in a human service related position is highly preferred. Experience and Training in Trauma Informed Practice and client coaching models. General knowledge of community services and experience or knowledge of family strengths/family centered practice preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable to operate agency vehicles.
