Position and Locations:

6:1:1 ED Bush - Phoenix Academy 8:1:1 ED Bush - Phoenix Academy 8:1:1 ED Bath School District Depending on location, this position may involve direct work with students with autism, emotional and/or developmental disabilities which may include, but are not limited to, oppositional and aggressive behaviors; mood disorders; and potentially severe and unpredictable physical and/or verbal outbursts. Social Workers are expected to: Evaluate and re-evaluate short-term behavioral and academic objectives on a regular basis throughout the school year Provide counseling services for students in BOCES classrooms Attend CSE meetings or other student support meetings as needed Refer as necessary to Mental Health Services outside the school environment Develop solutions focused outcomes for social, emotional, behavioral, and academic issues as they arise Carries out all other duties as assigned Job responsibility may require individual to do one and two-person lifts and/or physical interventions on a daily basis. Position requires the successful completion of all elements of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for schools (TCIS) training. Initial and refresher TCIS training is provided by

GST BOCES.
