Step into a full-time, onsite contract opportunity as a School Social Worker in the Olean, NY area, where you'll collaborate closely with staff, students, and families to foster positive change. Gain an enriching experience working directly on campus, using your expertise to help children and adolescents navigate social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Immediate interviews are available for candidates holding current NYS Certification for Social Work. What we're looking for: Valid New York State Social Worker Certification (required) Previous experience as a School Social Worker or in school-based settings preferred Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively interact with students, faculty, and parents Understanding of adolescent development and trauma-informed practices Ability to provide assessments, crisis interventions, and counseling services Team-oriented approach with a passion for fostering student growth and wellbeing Responsibilities include: Conducting individual and group counseling sessions for students needing social, emotional, or behavioral support Collaborating with educators, counselors, and administration to create a supportive learning environment Leading interventions, developing behavior plans, and supporting crisis response as needed Facilitating communication between home and school, providing resources and referrals to families Documenting student progress and maintaining confidential records per school policy Contributing to multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement IEP and 504 plans This full-time onsite role offers the chance to create a strong impact in young lives, grow professionally, and work in a dedicated educational setting.
