Fresh Pond Rd, Ridgewood, NY 11385 $43.77 - $52.71 an hour - Part-time, Full-time $43.77 - $52.71 an hour - Part-time, Full-time TMR Mental Health Care PC has an opening for part-time or fee for service Psychotherapist. This position will require the candidate or clinician to help people to overcome their emotional problems and cope with tough situations using a range of psychological treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Diabolical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy.
Psychotherapist Responsibilities:
Psychotherapy refers to a range of treatments that can help with mental health problems, emotional and behavioral challenges, and some psychiatric disorders. It aims to enable patients, or clients, to understand their feelings, and what makes them feel positive, anxious, or depressed. The Psychotherapist, under the supervision of a LCSW and a Psychiatrist / PMHNP-BC will provide psychotherapeutic services, coping and emotional support for patients facing various diagnoses including but not limited to: ➢ Depression and Mood Disorders ➢ Anxiety and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder ➢ Adult Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) & Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) ➢ Eating and Personality Disorders ➢ Substance Abuse and Addiction Issues ➢ Asperger's and Autism Spectrum Disorders ➢ Couples Therapy and Marriage & Family counseling The Psychotherapist (LMSW or LMHC-LP) will: ➢ Provide and complete clinical services, clinical assessments, clinical consultations, psychotherapeutic counseling, and client-centered advocacy as needed. ➢ Patient outreach. ➢ Weekly psychotherapy to caseload of 8-16 patients. ➢ Document progress (soap) notes and treatment plans / goals with use of EHR system. ➢ Collaborating with office staff and practitioners for administrative and patient support. ➢ Participate in individual supervision weekly and group supervision once a month. ➢Maintain an individual malpractice insurance policy at your own expense. ➢ Complete all continuing education credits in a timely manner to maintain valid licensure at your own expense. ➢ Meet with your direct supervisor weekly. ➢ Meet with the team for group supervision once a month. ➢ Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director. Qualifications and / or Skills ➢ Master's degree in social work or counseling or equivalent. ➢ Valid professional license to practice social work or counseling in NJ and/or NY state. ➢ Bilingual is a plus (not required). ➢ Experience/knowledge of trauma & substance abuse. ➢ Typing 40 wpm for use of EHR records. ➢ Detailed and Business oriented. ➢ People oriented, caring and dependable. ➢ Team- oriented.
Work Location:
➢ Ridgewood NY ➢ 3 evenings / nights and/or one weekend day required.
