A Family, School, or General Social Worker provides specialized assistance to vulnerable families and children. Intervenes in crisis situations; evaluates individual and family needs, helps clients get access to health care, mental health care or social services such as housing assistance. Advocates for clients and provides follow up visits. May work with teachers, parents and school administrators to help students improve academically and deal with social issues such as bullying.

As the LMSW, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through: Identify barriers which impact optimal client functioning. Acts as client advocate, promotes autonomy and champion s client s right to self-determination, incorporating client s wishe Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Provide individual and/or family counseling to identified clients of the agency Conduct assessments, make referrals, and respond to requests for emergency assistance when appropriate Complete treatment plans, progress notes, insurance forms and other appropriate documentation as requested in a timely manner Consult with the clinical supervisor on a regular basis regarding caseload activity
School-Based Social Worker Minimum Salary:
$37.00 School
  • Based Social Worker Maximum Salary:
    $38.00 School
  • Based Social Worker Schedule:
    Per Diem
  • up to 19 hours a week.
Qualifications:
Master s Degree in Social Work in related field OR LMSW certification 1 years of relevant experience
