Leeway School is a non-profit school that has been in existence for over 40 years, and serves, developmentally delayed and typical developing students from 3 to 5 years of age. Leeway School is seeking an MSW to work with our families and preschoolers with Special Needs. the position is full time, Monday thru Friday from 8:30am -4:00pm. We are a twelve month program following the local school district calendar, plus a six week Summer program. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children with special needs and their families. We are seeking a caring, collaborative professional who will work closely with students, families, teachers and school staff. As a school Social Worker your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: IEP mandated parent counseling Parent groups and trainings Attend student team meetings Attend evaluation team meetings when appropriate Consulting with classroom staff Running school-wide social, emotional groups for students during the school day Write quarterly reports, annual review reports, goals, logs and keep attendance records See parents for family training at Leeway at the school or by phone Liaison with classroom teachers regarding students issues at home Please include resume and salary requirements when applying.
