Job Description

Certified Social Worker Full-Time | School-Based Position We are seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and collaborative Certified Social Worker to provide social work services that support the individual needs of children and their families. The Social Worker will work closely with families, school staff, administrators, and interdisciplinary team members to help connect families with appropriate resources and services while supporting the social-emotional well-being of children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and families, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Essential Responsibilities Assess the individual needs of assigned children and families. Complete social histories and related documentation in a timely manner. Maintain required logs, reports, records, and documentation. Participate as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team. Provide service coordination as needed. Provide counseling and support to children and families as appropriate. Connect families with community agencies and resources to address identified needs, including resources related to housing, food, healthcare, financial assistance, and other supportive services. Ensure parents and families are aware of social service agencies and community resources available to meet their needs. Collaborate with community agencies and service providers to support the needs of children and families. Provide consultation to staff regarding strategies, resources, and effective approaches for supporting individual children and families. Conduct parent workshops and educational sessions as needed. Keep the Coordinator and Administration informed of pertinent information related to children and families while maintaining appropriate confidentiality. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, administrators, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Participate in department meetings, staff meetings, trainings, conferences, projects, and committees as needed. Follow all school policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with administration, staff, children, and families. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Certified Social Worker (CSW) required. Experience working with children and families required. Experience in a school, early childhood, or special education setting is preferred. Experience providing family support, counseling, service coordination, or connecting families with community resources preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Physical Requirements Must be capable of lifting and assisting a child weighing up to 45 pounds as needed. Why Join Us?
