Food Service Cafeteria Worker

Canton Local School District

3.5 Hours per day

REPORTS TO

Food Service Director

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

must have high school diploma (or equivalent)

must have the ability to work well with others as judged by Food Service Director

must be physically able to lift minimum of 36 pounds

must have the strength and dexterity to perform all labor tasks connected with job

must have the ability to properly prepare food according to USDA standards

must have successful experience working in food service

must be self directed and learn required skills for the position

must have a good attendance record

must be able to demonstrate basic computer literacy

must achieve a qualifying score on basic and specific skills test

must complete all required personnel records

meets all mandated health requirements

a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment

complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies

must be able to flex working schedules due to early and late lunch scheduling

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS

must be a positive voice with other staff members at all times

must be prepared for change, even if it comes at a faster than desired pace
