In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health and behavioral support to youth residing in our group home setting. Your expertise will help foster a safe, nurturing environment where young individuals can develop resilience, learn essential life skills, and achieve their full potential. You will collaborate closely with families, multidisciplinary teams, and community resources to deliver individualized care plans that promote positive outcomes for each youth. Duties Conduct thorough psychiatric patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine each youth's needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Provide individual, group, and family counseling utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and child & family counseling. Manage crisis situations through crisis intervention, conflict management, and crisis management techniques to ensure safety and stability. Collect, document, and maintain accurate medical records, clinical documentation, and data related to patient care while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for treatment planning, case management, and behavioral health interventions. Implement behavior management strategies and applied behavior analysis techniques to support positive behavioral changes. Engage in ongoing patient care activities including intake procedures, patient assessment, psychiatric care, and addiction counseling when appropriate. Work closely with families to provide support, education, and guidance throughout the treatment process. Maintain compliance with all medical terminology standards and ensure timely documentation of medical records for legal and clinical purposes. Qualifications Valid Ohio licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW). Proven experience working with children and youth in residential or community settings, especially those with developmental disabilities or mental health conditions. Strong skills in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, behavioral therapy, and behavioral health management. Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, HIPAA regulations, and medical records management. Experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities is highly desirable. Ability to perform comprehensive client assessments and diagnostic evaluations effectively. Excellent communication skills for client interaction as well as multidisciplinary team collaboration for treatment planning. Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with families while maintaining professional boundaries. BLS & First Aid
