Job Description
This mental health case management position is embedded within the school buildings to provide on site mental health services to students ages 5-19. Prevention services are also offered as well as staff consultation. Responsible for building and maintaining therapeutic relationships and providing basic outreach to a caseload of student clients. Coordinates a treatment plan for clients. Assists and supports the student client in the school setting. Offers support including education and consultation to family. Aids in symptom monitoring and management of symptoms to facilitate success in the school and community. Assists in the development of appropriate social skills including conflict resolution. Assists and supports the client in obtaining and utilizing the essential community resources as well as the involvement in positive relationships and activities within the school and community. A Bachelor or Associates degree in social work or a related degree (psychology, sociology, education, criminal justice), and/ OR two years of work experience in a related field. A complete benefits package is available, and salary will be commensurate with education and experience. No weekends or on-call responsibilities are required in this position.
