Generations Behavioral Health, an equal opportunity employer, is seeking an individual with director experience in a free standing psychiatric hospital.
License preferences are:
LSW, MSW, LISW or LPC. Understanding of resiliency and recovery in mental illness and substance abuse, and treatment approaches and techniques is a must have. Must be vaccinated against
COVID-19
to be considered.
Job Summary :
Responsible for the provision of care to meet the physical, psychological, and social needs of all patients. This position ensures that each patient is included in healthcare decision-making, as well as works toward creating and sustaining an environment that humanizes and individualizes the care for each patient. This position serves as an advisor for patients and families in decisions about care for immediate needs, as well as aftercare. Provides range of clinical services to include, but not limited to, assessments of individual psychosocial needs, financial limitations, acute treatment and crisis prevention, as well as post-hospital care.

Job Accountabilities:
  • Ensures completion of individual, family, and group assessments.
  • Provide short term crisis intervention, as needed.
  • Assist patients and families with community resources for post-hospital needs.
  • Submit reports to government and regulatory agencies, as required.
  • Monitor patient progress toward discharge, ensuring completion of requirements within expected length of stay
  • Assist patients and families with securing assistance services, as needed, e.g. Medicaid applications.
  • Develops community network to remain current in resources available for patients, families, and providers.
  • Plans and implements outreach activities for the community, including development of continuing education offerings.
  • Oversees development of prevention, intervention, referral, and outreach services.
  • Provides clinical consultation and supervision to unit social workers.
