The Fatherhood Initiative Specialist's primary responsibility is to serve fathers in our community by providing training, case management, coaching, mentoring, and other services as needed in a group and individual setting. YFS offers a variety of benefits for full-time employees.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Gather intake information on referrals and complete all required paperwork for each participant. Prepare and schedule staffing on each participant with direct supervisor, as required and Community Education Coordinator, as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files on each participant. Provide advocacy, mentoring, and case management services on a group, individual, and family level. Work cooperatively with funding sources, community referral sources, school, grantors, and public agency services. Assume the responsibility for personal development keeping updated on current knowledge, research, and techniques. Attend required workshops relevant to job description and complete required continuing education. Attend agency staff meetings and consultation as directed. Encourage active engagement with and retention of participants, and ensure all project activities are in line with positive relationship principles. Assist in organizing and coordinating meetings (including regular meetings, committee meetings, or special meetings of the group). Travel to trainings and meetings as needed. State-wide and national travel may be required Receive appropriate certifications and facilitate trainings as needed. Provide flexibility of schedule and location to accommodate clients as needed for their appointments in alignment with agency policy. Maintain client confidentiality at all times to include case files, phone records, verbal communication and all information. Provide required forms and records documentation needed to compile agency reports and statistics to Administrative Assistant or designated person in a timely manner. Attend speaking engagements to represent and educate the community regarding agency and clinical services as needed. Provide travel to clients as a matter of agency business only. Follow agency's safety procedures and protocol. Perform all other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
