We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Advocate Support staff member to assist survivors residing in our crisis shelter program. This role involves providing direct support services, ensuring the smooth operation of the shelter, and helping maintain a safe, respectful, and client-centered environment. You will play a key role in offering advocacy, resources, and trauma-informed care.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer crisis line calls and provide safety planning, crisis intervention, and intake services. Support day-to-day shelter operations, ensuring a clean, welcoming, and secure environment. Provide direct services including referrals, emergency assistance, and advocacy. Maintain detailed documentation of client services and interactions Support meal preparation, transportation, and monitoring guest activity as needed. Be available to respond to emergencies and occasional additional shifts as needed
Qualifications:
Experience in domestic violence or sexual assault field, volunteer experience, or related experience is suggested Experience working with diverse people and groups Must be able to sign The Spring's Statement of Faith A valid driver's license
