Prevention Youth Advocate, Full-Time Description:

We are looking for a caring, committed Youth Advocate to be part of our Prevention Services team. The Youth Advocate is responsible for delivering designated school-based programming focused on drug and alcohol prevention, bullying prevention, violence prevention, and improving social and decision-making skills. This is a grant-funded position, funded for 2 years, beginning on July 1, 2026, with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2028. Position responsibilities include but are not limited to: Delivering designated school-based programming. This includes providing evidence-based and other programs to youth through school presentations, health classes, large and small group sessions, and through our community outreach and afterschool programs. Transports youth to activities, field trips, and between centers and SOP sites. May assist with all aspects of the smooth running of the Bellefonte Youth Center and Mountaintop Youth Center. Assuring that information collecting and record-keeping requirements are met, that outcome-based evaluation is conducted, and that required monthly reports are prepared and submitted in a timely manner. Providing community education concerning program services through the distribution of public relations materials and public presentations on the program to educators, youth group leaders and community groups.

Requirements:

Position requires high school diploma or GED and two years of experience working with children, youth, and families, the ability to work effectively with groups of children, youth, and families, and the ability to work independently. Position requires a Driver's License.

Pay:

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
