Job Description

East Stroudsburg is a small college town in the heart of the Pocono Mountain region of Pennsylvania. We have an exciting position for Coordinator of Children and Youth Ministry. The Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a vibrant ministry for supporting ESUMC's children, youth and families in their faith. The Coordinator will work with teams of volunteers to carry out our programs that provide a firm foundation for the growth of our younger generation to create an atmosphere of enthusiasm and fun as they grow in their faith via a wide variety of learning experiences.

Qualifications and Core Competencies Required:

Commitment to the ministry, values, and mission of ESUMC. Leadership ability, with a knack for enlisting, developing, and inspiring volunteer ministry teams and an ability to collaborate effectively with others on the staff and in the congregation. Ability to communicate via various formats, including social media, that relate to diverse groups and individuals. Knowledge of developments in the field of children, youth and family ministries and an ability to integrate new concepts, as appropriate into ESUMC's programs. Experience in growing children and youth ministries in church or from other organizational settings.

Spiritual Maturity:

A believer with a strong Christian faith, committed to serving Jesus Christ and to sharing the Gospel. Attentive to personal spiritual development, discipline and growth. Models and encourages spiritual growth and discipleship in others. College degree preferred (B.A. or B.S.) Certifications or Experience working with children and Youth in different areas and programming

Compensation:

Salary range begins at $25,000-$27,000 but depends on experience and qualifications of the candidate. PTO and paid holidays. Schedule- Flexible shift

Weekend Availability:

Every Sunday (8am-12pm), Saturdays as needed Ability to commute to work.
