General Function The Academic Resource Coordinator, under the supervision of the Director of Program Services, is responsible for planning and implementing an academic enrichment program that meets the academic and developmental needs of school-age kids at the Boys & Girls Club of Erie. The other general function involves the support of and coordination with other program staff in providing a safe and fun environment for the youth we serve . Requirements A bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in Education, preferred. Maintain clean criminal and child abuse background checks. Complete and maintain Mandated Reporter training. Complete and maintain First Aid, CPR, and AED training. Possess a valid driver's license. Job Segments Ensure that you stay focused on the mission of the Club and the importance of building healthy attachment relationships with the kids who come to the Club on a regular and semi-regular basis. Plan, on an ongoing basis and in consultation from the Director of Program Services, academic based program and activities with enough breadth and appeal that any who comes to the Club will have ample opportunities for engagement and mastery. Provide a safe, warm and welcoming environment to the kids at the Club, one that has reasonable rules and behavioral parameters, but also promotes a sense of autonomy by giving Club members freedom of movement and choice of activity. Understand and effectively communicate the Club's mission to staff, parents and community partners. Promote participation in the Club to kids in the neighborhood and the larger community.

$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 24.0 per week
