Job Description

The After School Special Services Coordinator supports the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program by designing and implementing high-quality programming for elementary students who have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), behavioral support needs, or mental health challenges. This role focuses on providing individualized services, developing social-emotional learning activities, and assisting education staff in creating an inclusive, supportive environment for all students. The ideal candidate is a positive role model who enjoys working with diverse populations, demonstrates patience and empathy, and excels at communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution.
What You'll Do:
Develop and lead engaging after school programming that supports students' academic, social, and emotional growth. Identify, coordinate, and monitor individualized services for students with IEPs, behavioral, or mental health needs. Collaborate with school staff and families to ensure continuity of support and progress tracking Implement social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons and activities tailored to student needs. Maintain accurate documentation and track progress toward goals. Model positive behavior and encourage inclusivity among all participants. Support the 21st Century program's mission to provide safe, enriching environments outside regular school hours.
What You Bring:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
Experience:
At least one (1) year of experience working with elementary students, particularly at-risk youth or those requiring behavioral or emotional support. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to de-escalate and resolve conflicts. Understanding of social-emotional development and inclusion strategies. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and community partners. Patience, adaptability, and commitment to helping all students succeed.

$30.00 per hour
Hours:
