Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides psychosocial assessments on an as-needed basis, and in accordance with Case Management Department Policies and Procedures. Promotes and adheres to the IRMC core values of ICARE (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) andG.R.E.A.T.
(greet/respond/explain/ask/thank) customer standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities In this role you will be:- Utilizing brief interventions/supportive solutions-focused counseling techniques for identified issues.
- Working collaboratively with multiple disciplines within the hospital setting and community.
- Providing crisis intervention whenever appropriate.
- Considering the special needs and behaviors of specific age groups.
- Able to understand the continuum of care in the health care system and possess the communication skills to interpret the system to patients, families, and other members of the health care team.
- Able to understand third-party payor systems as they relate to discharge planning.
- Utilizing basic computer skills.
