YOUR JOB
As a Part Time Optional Family Support Advocate, you'll work directly with children and families to strengthen stability, build skills, and promote positive change within the home. This role is relationship-driven and hands-on, providing practical support, guidance, and encouragement that empowers families to overcome challenges and move toward long-term success.
Part-time Optional Status:
20-24 hours per week

Founded in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania in 1967, The Bair Foundation is a Christian non-profit ministry serving children and families. We have provided quality care and services to children, youth, and families through a myriad of effective community-based services. Today, The Bair Foundation provides services in multiple states across the country. Our programs are child-centered, family-focused, strength-based, and culturally competent, making a meaningful and lasting impact on the children and families we serve. We strive to touch lives and create a better future.
WHAT YOU'LL DO TO MAKE AN IMPACT
  • Walk alongside children and families as they build stability, confidence, and hope within their homes
  • Be a consistent, supportive presence for families navigating change, stress, and new beginnings
  • Help parents and caregivers strengthen daily routines, relationships, and problem-solving skills
  • Encourage families as they recognize their own strengths and take steps toward lasting growth
  • Create safe, supportive spaces where families feel heard, respected, and empowered
  • Celebrate progress—both big milestones and small victories—along the journey
WHAT PUTS YOU AHEAD
  • Experience providing in-home or community-based family support services
  • Knowledge of child welfare, family systems, or behavioral health services
  • Strong observational and documentation skills
  • Ability to remain calm, flexible, and supportive in challenging situations
