Provide behavior management strategies tailored for students with special needs, utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and behavioral therapy methods. Conduct regular classroom observations and participate in co-teaching instruction to support inclusive learning environments. Facilitate communication between stakeholders through clear documentation, progress reports, and IEP meetings to ensure transparency and goal alignment. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred. Valid teaching certification or license in special education for high school levels. Proven experience working with students with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP development and implementation, classroom management techniques, and educational compliance standards. Expertise in curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy education, math (including calculus and algebra), physical education, and creative writing. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, therapists, and administrators. Proficiency in learning technology tools, lesson planning software, and data collection systems for tracking student progress. Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles while maintaining a positive classroom environment.
