SUMMARY OF POSITION

Angels' Place is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual for the position of Family Support Director, a person who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of families. The Family Support Director would be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality services, fostering collaborative relationships, and ensuring that all programs are implemented with professionalism and compassion.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

FAMILY

SUPPORT PROGRAM

• Provide individual support for parents and crisis intervention.
• Complete required documentation to support families' goal setting and evolving needs.
• Serve as the primary bridge between families and community resources, ensuring seamless referrals to essential services.
• Design and facilitate weekly parent education meetings.
• Collaborate with the Education Director and teaching teams to create a comprehensive support system for families.
• Act as a liaison with community agencies to provide services for enrolled children.

COMMUNITY RESOURCES AND REFERRALS

• Strategic networking to strengthen community partnerships, driving both client and staff recruitment and organizational visibility.
• Represent the organization at community events to elevate the organization's profile and mission.

TEAM COLLABORATION AND SUPPORT

• Lead special projects and staff development initiatives focused on the social-emotional health of the entire organization.
• Champion learning of child development, reflective practice, solution-oriented interactions, and trauma-informed practice, coaching others in these methodologies
• Foster a collaborative team culture rooted in mutual support and professional excellence.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or higher in social work, counseling, or related field.
• The ideal candidate will have at least two years' experience working with families, is knowledgeable of child development and available community resources, and supports clients' emotional well-being.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with families, colleagues, and represent the organization at community events and meetings.
• Proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

).
