Emotional Support Description:
We are seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to provide full-time support in an elementary school setting (grades K-4). This role focuses on working with students in an emotional support program, helping them develop social-emotional skills and succeed in the classroom. The position starts immediately and runs through the end of the school year, with a potential extension into the next school year (NSY).
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling services Support students with social-emotional and behavioral needs Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support plans Assist in crisis intervention and behavior management strategies Help create a positive and supportive learning environment
Qualifications:
Active School Social Worker license/certification required Experience working with elementary students preferred Background in emotional support or behavioral programs highly preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills
